Present Pillars Fall Family Run/Walk
Join Present Pillars for a refreshing fall morning at the beautiful Sarett Nature Center as we walk, jog, or run together to support youth outdoor programs on Saturday, November 1 at 10:00 AM. This 5K-style Fun Run/Walk invites families, friends, and community members of all ages to explore the trails and celebrate nature.
Start Time: 10:00 AM sharp – arrive early to pick up your T-shirt and bib.
Location: Sarett Nature Center, Benton Harbor, MI. (Parking is limited—please carpool if possible.)
Post-Run Treats: Warm up with complimentary homemade soup, tea, and coffee after the run.

Join us at Sarett for an afternoon of easy-paced, moderate hiking to spend time with your friends and make some new ones out on the trails! Jasper Pulaski Wildlife Refuge Trip
Join Sarett naturalists for an excursion to Indiana’s Jasper Pulaski Wildlife Refuge. This refuge is well known for its staging tens of thousands of sandhill cranes. Bring a sack supper as we will be staying until dark to watch the cranes fly in to spend the night. Meet at Sarett. Dress warmly. $15/Member, $20/Non-member. Fall Ukranian Egg Class
Join us as we create a fall leaf Ukrainian egg using beeswax and batik dyes to create our masterpieces. We will all follow the same egg pattern led by a Sarett naturalist. Help Sarett kick off the season of giving by participating in our Giving Tuesday event on Facebook. Donations may also be made either online at www.sarett.org/donation or by mailing a check directly to Sarett through the end of December.

Wreath Workshop
Nothing beats the smell of evergreens in the crisp winter air. Create your own wreath for the holiday season. Greens, tools, wire, and ribbon / bows will be provided. Ornament Quilling Class
Join Shadow & Swirl to learn the art of paper quilling. Participants will create and take home a beautiful quilled snowflake ornament perfect for the Christmas tree or gifting to a friend. Yule Tree

Annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count
Birdwatchers needed! We are looking for volunteers to count birds as a part of Audubon's annual Christmas Bird Count event to create a census of birds. Volunteers will cover a portion of the official count area and drive around to tally up all the birds they see. To volunteer, please call (269) 927-4832 x 102 or email Mike at mikem@sarett.org.

Sarett's Spooky Halloween
A spooky adventure will be had by all ages as you take a stroll through the trails and visit some spooky crafts, game stations, and other fun activities. Visit the scary trail if you want a fright! Tickets should be purchased in advance to participate in this Halloween event. $6.00/ person age 2 and older.
Member ticket sales start October 1 at 10:00 AM. Non-member ticket sales begin October 8 at 10:00 AM. Tickets are sold through our ONLINE STORE.

Sarett Legacy Society

Join mushroom enthusiast Charlie Havens on our trails for a beginner mushroom hike. Paddles & Pints
Meet at Sarett to travel down to the New Buffalo boat launch where we will paddle to the Galien River County Park. Afterwards we will stop at Ghost Isle Brewery where we will continue to enjoy the marsh while drinking a pint of beer. We will provide the kayak, paddle, PFD, and naturalist expertise. Bob Ross and Rosé
Ages 21 & up. Sarett is teaming up with a local winery for an evening of art and libations as we follow along with a seasonal Bob Ross tutorial, looking out over the happy trees in our Great Room. Stream surveys are a great way to learn the health of our waterways. The more weird insects you find the better the health! Come learn stream survey protocol and find some cool macroinvertebrates while you're at it! Be prepared to get wet and muddy. Old tennis shoes, muck boots or waders are recommended. Our Furry Friends: Public Presentation
Today we will be talking about hairy and furry animals and what makes them unique. Members & Children/ FREE, Non-Members/ $3 (includes standard entrance fee). No sign up necessary.
Music & Butterflies
Join us for a special afternoon in the butterfly house. Harpist Meg Rodgers will be in the butterfly house playing a variety of music from pop to classical, from Gershwin to Disney, Meg has even been persuaded to take requests. Come sit awhile, watch the butterflies and relax to the peaceful harp music. Regular Butterfly House admission fees apply.
