Discover the amazing lives of monarch butterflies and celebrate their beauty with us today. There will be monarch and pollinator educational tables, crafts, activities, and guided trail walks to see monarch habitats at Sarett. This is a free event to everyone! The La Chula food truck will be here too for food purchases!

Presentation by Dr. Karen Oberhauser
11:00am – 1:00pm Butterfly Walks (leaving every 20 minutes)
Walks to monarch butterfly habitat led by Sarett Naturalists
11:00am – 1:00pm Monarch Open House
Sarett’s Great Room will welcome conservation partners from across the region to have tables of crafts for kids, tips for landscaping your yard, and resources larger scale projects as well. There will be something for monarch-lovers are all ages and interests.
1:30pm – 4:30pm Monarch Larva Monitoring Project Training
Dr. Oberhauser will teach potential monitoring volunteers how to select a monitoring site, collect data, and then share it to the online data center. Please call 269-927-4832 or email sarett@sarett.org to sign up for this session.
Sunday, June 1
1:00pm – 4:00pm MLMP Train the Trainer
Dr. Oberhauser will lead a more in-depth training for those who not only want to participate in Monarch Larva Monitoring Project, but want be able to teach others how to do it as well.
